Around a thousand cherry blossoms such as Yamazakura and Somei Yoshino bloom throughout the park. Recommended is the 'Flower and Trees Garden', just a short walk from the south entrance. You can enjoy about 400 cherry trees along with yellow forsythia and white spiraea flowers. If visiting in early April, you can proceed to the athletic area and see the poppy flower fields along with the cherry blossoms. As the blooming period may vary due to weather conditions, please check the park's website in advance when planning your visit.
