The 19th Kishu Yuasa Shirōuo Festival

Enjoy the Shirōuo that heralds the arrival of spring in Kishu Yuasa
From late February to late March, the Shirōuo, a small transparent fish that travels upstream to spawn, is a seasonal symbol that announces the arrival of spring in Kishu Yuasa. In the Hirokawa River, which flows between Yuasa Town and Hirokawa Town, a special fishing method known as the 'yotsute ami' has been carried out since ancient times. At the Shirōuo Festival, you can enjoy Shirōuo fishing experiences, Shirōuo scooping, Shirōuo dancing eating, and Shirōuo Marche (sales of local specialties).
