Sogawa Cherry Blossoms

The miraculous story hidden in cherry blossoms
The two giant cherry trees standing at the observation deck by Lake Gobora, created by the Gobora Dam, are said to be over 450 years old, belonging to the Azuma Higan variety. They were originally located in the grounds of Shorenji and Korinji, which now lie submerged beneath the lake, and thanks to an unprecedented massive transplantation in the history of global afforestation, they continue to bloom magnificently as they did in ancient times.
