Screening of the movie 'Keiko: Listen Closely'

I want to run away, but I don't want to give up
Born with a congenital hearing impairment, Keiko cannot hear with either ear. She continues to train at a small boxing gym in a neighborhood undergoing redevelopment and stands in the ring as a professional boxer. Struggling with her inability to tell lies and her awkwardness with social niceties, she ends up bottling up her unspeakable feelings. She writes a letter to the gym president requesting a leave of absence, but cannot bring herself to send it. One day, Keiko learns that the gym will be closed. Director: Sho Miyake, Starring: Yukino Kishii, Makoto Miura, Tomokazu Miura, among others. ■Notes Japanese subtitles and audio guide app available.
