Beyond the 2025 Problem: New Forms of Society Supported by Welfare Equipment and Universal Design

Design techniques to enhance QOL and examples of their practice
"Design techniques to enhance QOL (Quality of Life) and their practice" is the first of two public lectures. While considering the social impact of the baby boomer generation becoming late-stage elderly and the challenges of caregiver shortages, this lecture will introduce welfare equipment and universal design that utilize design techniques to enhance QOL, and their role in supporting the independence of the elderly and people with disabilities. Furthermore, we will consider solutions for the future of welfare from the perspectives of social participation and human rights. ■ Notes Inquiries can be made from 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Mondays and public holidays)
