Shitarakuhara Battlefield Festival

Recreating a grand Sengoku spectacle
The Battle of Nagashino and Shitarakuhara in 1575 (Tenshō 3). Traditional gun demonstrations and a parade by elementary and middle school students will be held at the historical battlefield of Shitarakuhara, recreating the atmosphere of the time. The area around Shitarakuhara, centered on the Shingen Mound and the Shitarakuhara Historical Museum, will be transformed into a Sengoku-inspired spectacle. This grand Sengoku spectacle, where firearms were reportedly used in large numbers for the first time in Japan, should not be missed.
