This festival honors the great art of the comedian Gokuro Soganoya, who starred in the movie "Nonki na Tousan" and hails from Kamojima. It is a unique festival where people dressed as Gokuro parade through the city every year on the last Saturday of June. There are many parades by drum and fife bands, as well as numerous food stalls, making it enjoyable for people of all ages.
