Fukuchi Onsen Summer Festival

Every day during the festival, local traditional performances and Ema (votive picture) markets are held. Based on the legend that Emperor Murakami visited this place in the Heian period and comforted the villagers suffering from a poisonous snake with the beautiful sound of a flute and defeated it, the lion dance "Henbetori" and performances of local arts such as the peony lion and chicken arts are a must-see.
