Kōfuku-ji Hōjōkai

The lives of others and your own life, all life is precious
Hōjōkai is based on the Buddha's teaching that "all living beings will eventually become Buddhas". It teaches the principles of becoming a Buddha to fish, which are representatives of living beings other than humans who equally receive life. After the solemn ritual at the Ichigon Kannon Hall, the "Heart Sutra" is recited and the release of life is performed at Sarusawa Pond. Applications for prayers can be made at the Nanyon-dō donation office.
