Ceremony for Honoring the Atomic Bomb Victims and Praying for Lasting World Peace
The Peace Memorial Ceremony is held in front of the Atomic Bomb Victims' Memorial (Hiroshima Peace Memorial Monument) located in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, with participation from many citizens, including the families of atomic bomb victims. The peace declaration made by the Mayor of Hiroshima is sent to countries around the world, continuously calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons and the realization of permanent world peace. At 8:15 AM, when the atomic bomb was dropped, peace bells and sirens are sounded, and a moment of silence is observed for one minute at the ceremony venue, in homes, and workplaces, expressing condolences and hopes for lasting peace.

From Hiroshima IC, head south on Route 54, turn left at the intersection with Jonan Street, turn right at the next signal, turn right at the Kamiya-cho intersection, and go west for about 400 meters.
Take the Hiroshima Electric Railway Line 1 from JR Hiroshima Station and get off at 'Hondori' or 'Fukuro-machi,' then walk about 10 minutes. Get off at 'Hiroshima Bus' at 'Peace Memorial Park.'
