Theater Performance Group Performance 86 "Volcano Island"

A small theater play that confronts history at close range
This summer, the Theater Performance Group presents "Volcano Island" by Shigeo Kitani, one of the representatives of playwrights from the Showa era. Set on a small remote island with deep shadows of war, it poignantly and poetically depicts the unforgettable memories and conflicts of the people living there, guided by three symbolic "sounds". The live performances by the band and the exciting ensemble with the actors make this a captivating theater performance. Don’t miss the "once-in-a-lifetime" theatrical experience created by its overwhelming sense of presence.
