Arako River Park Cherry Blossom Festival

Arako River Park has been developed as a comprehensive park with a full-scale urban greening botanical garden since 1979. Inside the park, there are lavender gardens, Japanese gardens, sun gardens, multipurpose plazas, and other sample gardens for school greening, hedges, street trees, and park trees. At the Garden Plaza, exhibitions and workshops related to flowers and greenery are held. In spring, approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom magnificently along the banks of the Arako River. During the Cherry Blossom Festival, in addition to the cherry blossom light-up, events are also held mainly on weekends.

Note

The park is open 24 hours. The opening hours of Arako River Park Garden Plaza are from 9:00 to 16:30. Closed every Monday (if it falls on a holiday, the following weekday) and the third Wednesday of every month (the fourth Wednesday if it is a holiday). However, it is open every day during event periods. The cherry blossom light-up is from 18:00 to 21:00.

Get off at Arako River Park Station on the Aonami Line. Take a city bus from Tokai-dori Station on the Meiko Subway Line and get off at Arako River Park North, about a 5-minute walk.
