[Cherry Blossoms・Peak Viewing] Cherry Blossom Avenue at Kabek Shrine

The cherry tree-lined approach of about 1km leading to the Kabek Shrine, adorned by a 13m tall torii gate, is one of the largest stone torii gates in Japan. Though the trees are over 80 years old, they bloom beautifully every year. The stunning display of cherry blossoms, mainly Somei Yoshino, along with Yaezakura and Shidarezakura, creates a magnificent cherry blossom tunnel on both sides of the path. Local volunteers also conduct illuminations with lanterns during the flowering period each year.
