Lawyer BAR: Construction Asbestos Lawsuit

Asbestos (white asbestos), once highly valued as a building material, was later found to be a cause of mesothelioma and lung cancer. Many workers who handled asbestos at factories and construction sites were affected, and the national government and building material manufacturers' liability was recognized by the Supreme Court. In Hiroshima, a litigation defense group was formed, and activities to support victims continue. This March, a lawsuit against building material manufacturers was filed in Hiroshima District Court. The speaker is lawyer Keita Sakamoto.
