Shishikui Hachiman Shrine Festival

The main shrine features portable shrines and danjiri parading through the town.
The head office has a connection with all the townspeople as the guardian deity of Shishikui, and it is highly revered. The festival deity is Hondawake no Mikoto. According to records, it is stated that 'the various ceremonies are the most solemn, and at the annual festival, there are rituals including the procession, horse racing, and sumo events, as well as a custom of singing a song called the horse child song as they go from house to house, though the origin is unclear.' In recent years, there have been danjiri, food stalls, and other activities, creating a lively atmosphere.
