Sayaro Yuki: Eternal Now

The textile artist Sayaro Yuki, who passed away at the age of 101 in 2024, is greatly missed. A pioneer of katazome (stencil dyeing), her works, characterized by free and humorous forms and beautiful colors that harmoniously blend, are full of vitality and irresistibly attract viewers. As her first posthumous retrospective, the exhibition provides an overview of the artist's diverse activities over the years and includes a showcase of her final works, which will be presented for the first time. Special exhibitions themed on regions closely associated with the artist, both domestically and internationally, are also a must-see.

Only on February 14 (Friday), doors open at 10:00. On February 22 (Saturday) and March 22 (Saturday), the museum will close at 19:00 due to extended evening hours. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Closed on Mondays (open on February 24) and February 25 (Tuesday).
