Second-floor Room with a View Cafe 'Sarara'

A Sarara tree over 240 years old located in the courtyard of the Tanaka Honke Museum. Every year, around the entry of the rainy season, it begins to bloom small white flowers. The Sarara flowers are one-day blooms that fall within the same day they bloom, seeming to fall continuously over the pond. On the second floor of the building overlooking this courtyard, there is a tatami room that was used as a guest room during the Meiji period. This normally private tatami room opens as a limited-time cafe where you can enjoy coffee, matcha, and sweets. I want to enjoy a special time in the second-floor room with a good view.

Closed every Tuesday. Cafe hours on weekends and public holidays are from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Last order for the cafe is 30 minutes before closing. It is recommended to check the blooming status of the Sarara flowers on the website.
