Manou Temple is a temple of the Shingon sect of the Chizan school and a famous spot for ajisai. It was founded in 725 during the reign of Emperor Shomu by the Bodhisattva Gyoki. It is also referred to as "Manou Daikoku" because a statue of Daikokuten is enshrined here. Approximately 3,000 ajisai bloom beautifully near the parking lot.
