Fukushima Port Festival began with the hope of enhancing people's interest in the sea, promoting the development of Fukushima Port, which is the gateway to Takaoka's sea, and the revitalization of the region. The festival features a maritime safety prayer ceremony, a lively cool summer fireworks festival attended by a large crowd, and a street parade with people dressed in gorgeous yukatas, along with many night stalls, capturing the summer atmosphere.
