Suga Shrine Autumn Festival

A spectacular horse race that has continued since the Heian period
Suga Shrine, which was enshrined from Gion Goryo Shrine in Kyoto during the Heian period, is affectionately called 'Goryosan.' It is also designated as a cultural property of Wakayama Prefecture. You can enjoy floats and lion dances as well. The highlight is the horse racing. The sight of the horses galloping vigorously is breathtakingly impressive.
