Sakura in Full Bloom at Sakurakujinja

A place linked to Emperor Godaigo and Kojima Taketoku
This is the site where local feudal lord Kojima Taketoku, who was exiled to Oki, carved a poem of regret into a cherry tree after failing to recover Emperor Godaigo. The cherry tree bearing this poem is called "Chuyizakura". Today, Sakurakujinja is renowned as a cherry blossom viewing spot, attracting many visitors each year.
