65th Wado Town Port Festival (Fireworks Display)
One of the largest firework festivals in the Amami Islands is a highlight
The Wado Town Port Festival is a celebration consisting of five events: ground golf tournament, sumo tournament, parade, marine sports, and firework display, praying for the townspeople's good health and a bountiful harvest. On the 27th, the firework display will be held as the finale of the Wado Town Port Festival. About 2000 fireworks, among the largest in the Amami Islands, will light up the summer night sky. It has become a summertime tradition of Okinoerabu Island.
