14th Rikubetsu Starlight Festival

"Hayabusa2" Speaker Yuichi Tsuda Lecture & Star Festival!
The star festival at the observatory is held to commemorate the opening day. This year, we will invite Yuichi Tsuda, Deputy Director of JAXA Space Research Institute, to hold a lecture titled "Challenges of Hayabusa2 - In Search of Asteroid Fragments -" starting at 19:00. Additionally, during the operating hours, weather permitting, visitors can observe celestial bodies using one of the largest telescopes in Japan. In the rooftop plaza, visitors can relax on tatami mats in the evening and enjoy the moon and stars. Bringing your own telescope is also welcome. The opening hours will be extended until midnight that day. Let's enjoy the night before Tanabata at the Galaxy Forest Observatory!
