Nakata Scarecrow Festival
Scarecrows appear throughout the town!
About 200 scarecrows representing various ideas such as traditional arts, satire of the times, anime, fairy tale characters, and social and political commentary decorate the city center. The scarecrows, reflecting contemporary society, line up to unfold a world of fantasy in this unique festival. In addition to the scarecrow contest, a variety of events such as Yosakoi will be held.
