Memorial for Juro Kara: Karasumi Theater Red Tent Performance + Film Screening of "Theatrical"
20th performance by Karasumi Theater in Mito after 13 years
This May marks the first anniversary of the underground culture pioneer Juro Kara. We are performing the Karasumi Theater Red Tent performance 'In the Town of Picture Story' and screening the documentary film 'Theatrical: A Record of Juro Kara and Karasumi Theater' on the same day. This is the 20th performance by Karasumi Theater in Mito after 13 years. A Red Tent will be specially set up in the square of Mito Art Museum. The film being screened on the same day is a documentary following Juro Kara and Karasumi Theater, directed by Shin Oshima, who has worked on numerous notable projects in recent years.
