Touka-san Grand Festival

Hiroshima's representative summer festival "Touka-san Grand Festival"
One of the three major festivals in Hiroshima, the "Touka-san Grand Festival" is a celebration of the "Inari (Touka) Daimyoujin" enshrined at Enryuji. The name originates from the fact that the Inari Daimyoujin is referred to as "Touka" in on'yomi (Chinese reading) instead of "Inari." The festival takes place over three days on the weekend starting from the first Friday of June each year, and the deity of "Touka Daimyoujin" is only unveiled during these three days. Additionally, "Touka-san" is also known as the "Yukata Wearing Festival," and the festival period sees many visitors in yukata, creating a lively atmosphere.
