Hiruzen Fireworks Festival

The highlight of this fireworks festival, where approximately 700 fireworks are launched, is the rarity of the "shakudama fireworks" in the northern part of the prefecture. The fireworks spread across the clear night sky of Hiruzen Highlands, and the power of the shakudama viewed up close is breathtaking. After the fireworks, the "Omiya dance," a nationally designated important intangible folk cultural asset, will be performed at "Fukuda Shrine." Participation is free and open to anyone, so experience the summer traditions of Hiruzen Highlands along with the fireworks.
