A famous place also known as the 'Hydrangea Forest.'
It is said that this shrine was established in the 22nd year of the Enryaku era (803) by Emperor Kanmu as the guardian deity of the Kawanouchi area. Approximately 100 varieties and 500 hydrangeas are planted, and it is also referred to as the 'Hydrangea Forest.' There are many highlights, including the Western hydrangeas along the road and the Japanese hydrangeas in the precincts. The stone steps can be slippery, so please be careful when visiting.
