The 78th Hadano Tobacco Festival

Hadano City's largest historical festival
The largest tourism event in the city, inheriting the passion for leaf tobacco cultivation that laid the foundation for the development of Hadano City. The event likens the passion of those who engaged in leaf tobacco farming to 'fire.' There are plenty of highlights such as the 'Jumbo Fire Ignition Tug-of-War Contest,' where participants compete for the time it takes to ignite with a giant fire starter, the traditional dance 'Tobacco Ondo Parade,' and the fireworks that conclude the festival.
