Kamo Shrine Spring Festival
The "Yabusame" where arrows are shot from a galloping horse. The spring festival at Kamo Shrine. Locally known as the "Yansanma Festival" (designated as an intangible folk cultural asset by the prefecture). On the day, a series of Shinto rituals are held, but the final event, the "Yabusame" ceremony, is a magnificent divine skill where arrows are shot at targets from a rushing horse along the approach, captivating a large number of people.
