Yoshimitsu Morita, First Full-Scale Retrospective Exhibition
Beginning with self-produced 8mm films, director Yoshimitsu Morita (1950-2011) has continuously provided notable works to Japanese cinema since his commercial film debut 'No Yō na Mono' (1981) as an independent filmmaker. This exhibition not only covers Morita's diverse works but also includes personal treasures and props used in the films, touching on the recent global trend of reevaluation while showcasing a director rich in ideas and originality.
