Curtis Talwst Santiago "Buttermilk Mood"

The first solo exhibition in Japan by Curtis Talwst Santiago is being held simultaneously at Hiro Gallery (Ginza 6-7-16-3F) and two other venues. Born in 1979 to Trinidadian parents who moved to Canada, Santiago explores history, memory, and personal identity, often focusing on themes of diaspora and the retelling of historical narratives. He pursues a range of emotions related to human relationships, from longing for intimacy to experiences of alienation.
