This exhibition commemorating the 140th anniversary of his birth introduces precious essays still beloved by many fans, as well as materials related to the collection of Japanese names of stars submitted from across Japan. Visitors can also see Hōkei's prized telescope 'Long Tom' up close. Starting from a variety of literature and folklore from around the world, the exhibition sheds light on Hōkei's perspective on family and the vast universe that he depicts.
