19th Kihō Town Fireworks Festival

A summer tradition of Kihō Town
This historic fireworks festival was once held as the 'Hatsubon Memorial and Fireworks Festival' of the former Ugudeko Village. On the day, after the monk's sutra and incense offering, there will be a visit to each household welcoming their first 'Hatsubon' and a lantern burning ceremony, followed by spirit memorial rituals including silver waterfall fireworks. Despite its smaller scale, about 700 launch fireworks and message fireworks will be held. With the launch site being close, you can enjoy the fireworks with full impact.
