A famous cherry blossom spot adjacent to Hirado Castle.
The area around Hirado Castle is now Kameoka Park. The park features the main keep, various turrets, a 400-year-old cryptomeria tree lined path, and numerous monuments, making it a bustling place for tourists. Additionally, city-owned tennis courts and sports fields are available, making it a popular place for local residents. There is also a native azalea garden, where species preservation and utilization are actively pursued. Every April, the Sakura Square in the grounds of Kameoka Shrine becomes lively with many cherry blossom viewers.
