Nobuo Nakagawa (1905-1984) continued to depict the human nature and its sorrows, wishing to be free from society and circumstances, through humor and creative direction. This special feature is the largest retrospective ever composed of 59 films across 53 programs, including works from his time as an assistant director and television movies. It showcases the charms of Nakagawa's works that are not constrained by genres such as comedy, musical film, period drama, literary film, and social drama.
