Iwayadera Grand Festival & Iwayadera Marche (April)

A traditional event held at a historic temple in Chita
The grand festival of Iwayadera, the headquarters of the Owari Koyasan Sect, held on the 17th of every month. Goma fire ritual at the Oku-no-in starts at 9:00. A service and sermon take place at the main hall around 11:00. Limited goshuin (temple seal) available for participants of the flag procession from Oku-no-in to the main hall. On the day, there will be stalls selling vegetables and knives at the temple entrance. A marche will be held within the temple grounds, featuring food and merchandise for families to enjoy.
