A general public opening of the Sugimoto Family Residence, an important cultural property and one of the largest traditional townhouses in Kyoto, built over 150 years ago. From April to June, the traditional townhouse will be set up to reflect the changing seasons as it was in the past. On the public days of May 2, 3, and 4, dolls for 'Tango no Sekku' (Boys' Day) will be displayed. The May dolls from the Sugimoto family collection include valiant warrior dolls in armor and rare dolls such as the Meiji Emperor in Western attire. Sugimoto family original goods, tea leaves, and the limited edition Sugimoto family original nama amazake will be sold.
