The New Prefectural Art Exhibition is an open call exhibition held annually with the aim of promoting creative activities by widely soliciting art works from the residents of the prefecture, showcasing outstanding pieces, providing opportunities for appreciation, and contributing to the advancement of artistic culture. After the central exhibition is held at the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, traveling exhibitions take place in various locations within the prefecture. The exhibited works include award-winning pieces, locally selected works, and the grand prize winner in the junior category.
