Maki Noh

The origin of outdoor Noh and Maki Noh
In recent years, outdoor Noh performances and Maki Noh have been held in various places, but when it comes to Maki Noh, it refers to those performed in front of the Nandaimon Gate of Kofuku-ji Temple. The Maki Noh held across the country after the war were modeled after this one. Noh performances by the four Noh schools of Kanze, Konparu, Hosho, and Kongō, along with Kyogen by the Ozawa school, will be performed over two days. Designated cultural property of Nara City.
