Nonzan Kannonji Temple

Late Mar~Mid-Apr 09:00~17:00

At Nonzan Kannonji Temple, located at an altitude of 450m, the entire mountain is enveloped in flowers from late March. In addition to the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, various flowers such as weeping cherries, Kamizono Akebono, and Ujou Weeping cherry also bloom. Especially, the ancient tree next to the main hall is named "Fukujuzakura," a unique cherry blossom of Nonzan Kannonji Temple, which was recognized as a new variety in 2021. Many visitors come specifically to see this beautiful half-double white flower cherry blossom. The best time to see Fukujuzakura is early April. After mid-April, the combination of double cherry blossoms and rhododendrons can be enjoyed. The surrounding area is also rich in cherry blossoms, making it enjoyable as a driving course.
