Hanamatsuri
The festival floats advance during the season when cherry blossoms are in full bloom
Amidst the blooming national natural monument "Shiogamazakura", parishioners dressed in white garments carry a float weighing about 1 ton as they parade through the city. You can truly feel the tradition of Shiogama as the float moves slowly accompanied by the sounds of bells and drums.
