Tapio Wirkkala: The Ends of the Earth

This exhibition is Japan's first retrospective, planned to commemorate the 110th anniversary of his birth and the 40th anniversary of his death, which will be held in succession after the Tokyo venue. Approximately 300 carefully selected products and objects from the Espoo Museum of Modern Art, the Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation, and the Kakkonen Collection will be displayed along with drawings (copies) and photographs that reveal the production process and background, highlighting the charm of Tapio Wirkkala, who is referred to as a master of Nordic modern design.
