Reiwa 7th Year Shibukawa Float Festival

The wildest float in the Kanto region!!
The Shibukawa Float Festival has a history of about 250 years dating back to the Edo period. It is a magnificent festival known as the 'wildest float in the Kanto region.' Each participating town carries dolls and ornate floats decorated with brilliant carvings parading through the city. The highlight of the first day is the 'Hachiman Nobori,' where floats ascend the 600-meter-long Hachiman-zaka accompanied by festive music. On the second day, 19 floats gather to create the spectacular 'Town Parade.' Every year, many people from both inside and outside the prefecture visit, making it a summer tradition of Shibukawa.
