Iwayaji Grand Festival & Iwayaji Marche (July)

Traditional event held at the ancient temple in Chita
The grand festival of Iwayaji Temple, headquarters of the Owari Koyasan Sect, held on the 17th of every month. Goma ritual starts at 9 AM in the Okunoin and a ritual and sermon take place in the main hall around 11 AM. Limited goshuin (temple seal) available for participants in the flag procession from the Okunoin to the main hall. There will be vegetable and knife stalls at the entrance on the day. A marche will be held on the temple grounds with food, merchandise sales, and family-friendly activities.
