Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine Summer Purification
Let's pray for good health and well-being
A ritual to transfer impurities accumulated over the past six months onto a doll (hitogata) for purification. Let's go through the wicker ring to refresh both body and mind, and spend the latter half of the year with a pure heart. Participants will receive a 'Chinowa Mamoru' based on the legend of Somin Shorai from the 'Bingo no Kuni Fudoki,' who escaped plague by passing through a wicker ring.
