[Flower Viewing] Iris of Yousuien

[Flower Viewing] Iris of Yousuien

Irises bloom brilliantly in a historic garden

Yousuien

Late Apr~Mid-May 09:00~17:00

Yousuien is a representative samurai garden from the mid-Tokugawa period constructed by Harutomi Tokugawa, the 10th lord of the Kishu Tokugawa clan. It uses the surrounding mountains as borrowed scenery, incorporates seawater into the pond, and is designed to mimic West Lake in China. The sight of irises blooming wildly in the garden is a must-see.
