In Hiroshima, since 1947, a lantern floating event has been held every year on August 6th by citizens. It is said that this lantern floating started with the act of setting afloat lanterns with the names of those who lost their lives in the atomic bomb. The project "Messages Held in Lanterns" began in 2015, marking 70 years after the war. When you float a lantern with your message in a virtual river, your words will be projected onto digital signage at facilities and throughout the town of Hiroshima. ■Notes Supported by: Lantern Floating Executive Committee (Hiroshima Festival Committee, Central Hiroshima Shopping District Promotion Association)
