10,000 hydrangeas coloring the 2.5 km approach
Daiyuzan Saijoji is a historic Soto Zen temple with a 600-year history since its founding. The approach lined with cedar trees said to be over 500 years old is also called the Daiyuzan hydrangea approach, with about 10,000 hydrangeas planted along the approximately 2.5 km from Nio-mon to the temple grounds. During the season, a variety of colorful hydrangeas, including pink and purple, bloom beautifully, creating a stunning scene. Enjoy around 10,000 hydrangeas such as Otagusa, Gakuajisai, and Sumidanohanabi.
