Since the modern era, botanical art (plant paintings) has captivated the people of Britain. The native plants of this northern country are few, and as they expanded globally, plants collected from various regions were recorded as botanical paintings and specimens. This exhibition introduces flowers beloved by everyone from the British royal family to the citizens, particularly through the "Curtis Botanical Magazine," which symbolizes British botanical paintings, and botanical art from the 17th to 19th centuries. Additionally, with the cooperation of the Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden, original works by Dr. Tomitaro Makino will be specially exhibited.

Take the Tosaden Transportation tram "Gomen" or "Ryoishido" for 15 minutes, then get off at "Kenritsu Bijutsukan-Dori" and walk for 5 minutes.
